We are excited to announce two new official partners to our partnership programme: Forth Point and Research Data Scotland.
The Data Lab’s partnership initiative offers a variety of benefits, including access to conferences, recruitment opportunities for top-tier talent, and exclusive engagement within our vibrant online community dedicated to data and AI.
Promoting data access for the greater good
Research Data Scotland (RDS) is a not-for-profit charitable organisation established and funded by the Scottish Government. They collaborate with leading universities and public bodies to make public sector data more accessible for the greater good.
Their main goals include fostering collaboration with public sector data by facilitating harmonious interaction between researchers, analysts, and policymakers. This allows them to leverage the potential of public sector data.
Additionally, RDS strives to work with various entities to simplify and expedite data access for researchers, thereby enhancing the quality of evidence-based decision-making. The ultimate aim of RDS is to improve the quality of life for the people of Scotland by providing high-quality data to decision-makers in a simplified and accessible manner.
In addition to exhibiting at our flagship conference, Data Summit, Nora Cooke O’Dowd, Chief Data Officer at RDS, will be moderating a thought-provoking panel on ‘The future of AI in healthcare.’ The transformative impact of AI in healthcare will be explored, with Nora being joined by distinguished panellists from diverse backgrounds, including Moragh Boyle from the University of Aberdeen, Professor Lynne Baillie from the National Robotarium, Professor Angus Watson from NHS Highlands, and Jackie Caldwell from Public Health Scotland.
