Partner with The Data Lab and grow your business
Is your business looking for opportunities to raise its profile within Scotland’s data community? Do you want to highlight your capabilities, attract R&D support, and find new contacts and collaboration partners? Or are you looking to attract the best and the brightest talent to your organisation?
Whatever your requirements, linking up with The Data Lab as a Partner is a cost-effective way to meet your business development goals. We offer a range of partnership options — Platinum, Gold and Silver.
Become a Data Lab Partner organisation
A partnership with The Data Lab offers businesses of all sizes an exciting way to reach out to Scotland’s data community and establish strong and profitable links with experts, potential collaborators, industry peers and data talent.
Partnership is underpinned by membership of The Data Lab Community (which has over 1,400 members). The Community offers the opportunity to host events, post jobs and blogs, and (from Silver Level Partners upwards) sponsor a monthly theme.
Partner packages include access to The Data Lab Academy network for job placements. We also offer partner-brand acknowledgement on all Academy-related web pages and fora. The Data Lab Academy has an Alumni of over 800 MSc students in data and AI-related fields. It has a current student cohort of 138 MSc students, and a planned intake of 80 MSc and 25 MSci students for the coming year.
As our partner, we will work with you to set up a programme of activities and initiatives. Over the course of the year, these will help raise your profile. For example, you’ll be able to:
- Participate as an exhibitor at DataFest’s Data Summit conference and be acknowledged as a Data Lab Partner (throughout the year) in all DataFest communications. DataFest is a major event that showcases Scotland’s leading role in data science and artificial intelligence on the international stage.
- Take part in the DataFest Fringe. All Data Lab partners will have the opportunity to host a Fringe event (in 2022 between October 25th and November 2nd) and have this event co-branded and supported through our network.
- Higher value partner packages include exclusive sponsorship of Data Lab Academy milestone events throughout the year.
We put together a bespoke combination of partnership activities for you. This will be done in discussion with your team and will be tailored to meet your exact needs. Whatever elements it involves, the aim will be to help you reach your overall business-development goals.
Be a Partner of The Data Lab Academy
The Data Lab Academy is funded by the SFC and HIE and supported by our partners. Developed in consultation with government, academia and business leaders, the Academy helps students develop the non-technical skills that are essential to becoming a data/AI professional. By partnering with The Data Lab Academy, you are supporting:
- The growth of the data talent pipeline in Scotland.
- Stronger relationships between industry and emerging talent.

Actively recruiting? We’ll promote you at Data Talent
Data Talent takes place in March as part of DataFest. It is Scotland’s largest data and AI careers and networking event. It draws data and AI talent from across Scotland and beyond — students, recent graduates and data specialists looking for a career change. Companies exhibit at Data Talent because they are actively hiring to fill data and AI vacancies and want to meet the best and brightest talent.
To maximise the impact of your involvement in Data Talent your company can be involved as an exhibitor. Being an exhibitor at the event will:
- Link your company to Scotland’s most high-profile data recruitment event.
- Have your company highly visible on all in-event and promotional material.
- Position your company as a leader in the field of data and AI.
- Allow you to engage directly with the best and brightest data talent in Scotland.
All TDL Academy Platinum, Gold and Silver partners will have their brand promoted at the event, and all TDL Academy partners will be named and thanked.
