
New training for HE and FE leaders will champion data-informed decision-making and ethical AI initiatives.
Jisc’s new Foundations of Data and AI Leadership online training module for university and college leaders begins on 29 April 2025 and is now open for Jisc members to book. The training module has been developed to empower leaders to champion data-informed decision-making and ethical AI initiatives within their organisations.
Jisc is delivering the training in collaboration with The Data Lab, combining Jisc’s expertise in digital leadership, data maturity and AI in education with The Data Lab’s cross sector experience in data science and AI.
The course focuses on strategy and leadership to cultivate opportunities, with each session including presentations, interactive activities, and group discussions.

- Operational Impact: Focus on practical outcomes for leadership in driving operational improvements.
- Cutting Through the Hype: Demystify AI and data strategies, helping leaders make informed, actionable decisions.
Training designed for busy schedules
This course has been designed to fit busy schedules and will be delivered online across two sessions that last 2 hours each.
Tuesday 29 April (10.00-12.00)
Thursday 1 May (14.00-16.00)
