Scotland’s data science showcase
DataFest showcases Scotland’s leading role in data science and artificial intelligence on the international stage, while offering an unparalleled networking platform for local and international talent, industry, academia and data enthusiasts. It is run by The Data Lab and hosted by the University of Edinburgh.
The annual event welcomes an exciting and diverse mix of talent and expertise — from quantum computing professors, nanotechnologists and entrepreneurs, through to data ethicists, philosophers, musicians and artists. DataFest has a number of key elements, including:
- Data Summit: a conference featuring guests from the cutting edge of science, highlighting and discussing key data innovations and developments.
- Data Talent: this is Scotland’s largest data and AI careers and networking event. It draws data science talent from across Scotland and beyond, pairing up the best new talent with organisations looking to grow or optimise their data teams.
- DataFest Fringe: a pivotal component of Data Fest every year is the Fringe. It features a wide range of exciting events organised by the tech, data science and AI community in Scotland. Visit the DataFest website for more information on our amazing fringe events:
DataFest Fringe 2022
Each year DataFest has an overarching theme – in 2022 the theme is ‘hope’, with the festival focusing on how data and AI can be used to create a better world and society.
