Who is this data workshop for?
This course is for leaders, managers and HR professionals looking to develop an understanding of their organisation’s skills needs. If you have a part to play in building an organisation’s data capacity, getting the right data skills, or working to mobilise and embrace strong data teams – this is a workshop for you.
What will you learn?
We will teach you to define and source your data requirements and how to develop or source employees with the right mix of knowledge. You will leave this course with the confidence to articulate and justify the upskilling and reskilling plan required by your organisation.
- Understand what data profiles exist or are needed within your organisation
- Identify specific skills requirements by considering both what your people and your organisation need to succeed
- Learn how to maximise the talent you have and understand your talent and recruitment gaps
- Develop a strategy for embedding data literacy across your whole team

Module 1: Understanding People’s Needs
Outcome: Identification of the skills required for your organisation based on data profiles.
- Explore the data profiles that people fit into in today’s data-driven society
- Consider how these data profiles map to roles within your organisation
- Apply these data profiles to the needs of your organisation
- Identify specific skill requirements for success

Module 2: Setting Yourself Up for Success
Outcome: To inform your skills plan, understand what drives your upskilling and reskilling needs.
- Discover guiding principles to steer your upskilling plan
- Reflect on current trends, case studies and expectations of organisations
- Align your upskilling needs with your business ambitions
- Explore how to mitigate bias in data

Module 3: Creating Your Reskilling and Upskilling Plan
Outcome: Creation of a reskilling and upskilling plan guided by resources to create a bespoke program for your organisation.
- Learn how to communicate your plan effectively
- Identify the skills gap between what you have and what you need
- Build your plan from proven resources

He brings this to bear in his role as a strategy advisor and coach with specialisms in Business, Data and digital transformation. Craig gets his energy from working with smart people to solve relevant challenges and is the author of the online course “Driving Value from Data”.
