People Power Data is our online course designed for leaders, managers and HR professionals to help develop an understanding of their organisation’s data needs.
This course is a must-have in your professional development journey if you work with employees or teams who use data.
Learn how to define and source your skills requirements and develop or source employees with the proper knowledge.
During the course, you will examine the challenges of upskilling an organisation within the context of strategic and societal expectations, with practical tools and techniques to inform your learning.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you are involved in building or growing a data literate team. You may be looking to develop an understanding of your organisation’s data skills needs, or actively working to define and source new employees. It is for organisational leaders, HR or recruitment professionals in charge of building data capacity and teams, or any data-curious person looking to improve their data literacy, and understand what best-practice looks like.
The course is not industry-specific and applies to learners across all sectors from anywhere in the world. The course is self-paced and will take approximately 14 hours to complete.

Module 1: Understanding People’s Needs
Outcomes: Identify the skills required for your organisation to succeed in today’s data-driven society.

- Identify your specific skills requirements to succeed
Module 2: Setting Yourself up for Success
Outcomes: Think widely about what drives your upskilling needs and guiding principles to steer your upskilling plan.
- Understand society’s data expectations and how this impacts your organisation
- Align your upskilling needs with your business ambitions
- Identify how to mitigate bias in data
Module 3: Creating your Upskilling and Reskilling Plan
Outcome: Create your own unique upskilling plan through a three-stage process:
- Capture the organisational opportunity you are striving for
- Identify the skills gap between what you have and what you need
- Build your upskilling and reskilling plan from proven resources
