The Data Lab is preparing for its launch event on 30th October 2014. This new innovation centre enables Scottish industry to capitalise on the rapidly growing data science market.
We unite world-class researchers and data scientists with industry and public sector organisations to generate economic, social and scientific value.

Launch Event – Smart Data Technologies Centre
9th September 2014 at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen
Robert Gordon University has established an industry-driven centre for innovation in big data analytics which will provide a collaborative hub between academia, the IT sector and the oil and gas sector where purpose-driven research in data analytics technologies will be transformed into demand-led innovative applications.

Open for Business: Harnessing the Power of Social Media

Discover how Glasgow’s computing scientists and student start-ups are utilising social media streams to detect world events in real time, navigate smart cities, revolutionise event management, and connect alumni across the world.
