We have 160 students studying a range of MSc courses in AI, data science and data engineering, including in health and social science domains, at universities across Scotland.
We’re looking for organisations with ideas for short 8-12 week data science projects so our students can put their technical skills to work in the real world.
Find out more about these placement projects and you can watch video testimonials from some of the organisations and students involved in previous projects.
Could your organisation benefit from the latest data talent & knowledge?
Startup company TL Tech – Smart Home Solutions have taken The Data Lab MSc student Ecaterina Vidrașcu on permanently after her short data science project helped bring their commercial product to market.
Caroline Laurenson, Managing Director of TL Tech – Smart Home Solutions:
If you have an idea for a project, we’d recommend talking it through with The Data Lab team, as we had initially thought our idea was too unusual to fit in with the programme, but I think the outcomes speak for themselves. As a start-up we have a very limited budget to do development and we wouldn’t have been able to progress our ideas without the support of The Data Lab.
