Skills Research Intern

The Data Lab is looking for a Skills Researcher to fill a 3 month internship with our Skills Team. Based at The Data Lab’s Edinburgh hub, the Skills Researcher will help us evaluate the impact and effectiveness of The Data Lab’s Skills programme, particularly focusing on the outcomes from the 2015/16 MSc cohort, Data Talent Scotland 2017, and planning and initiating the impact evaluation for the 2016/17 MSc cohort. You’ll learn about the various approaches to evaluations, KPIs and impact measurements, develop your analytical and reporting skills, and research the data skills landscape in Scotland. You should have completed at least two years of University education, and must be eligible to work in the UK.

The Data Lab The Data Lab co-funds Industrial Doctorate programmes at Scottish Universities, in collaboration with Scottish industry or public sector organisations. These industrial doctorates are designed to support the development of data science talent at a PhD / EngD level, while facilitating collaboration between industry and academia through applied research projects.
